Single Origin

Nothing beats the smell of fresh coffee in the morning to wake you straight up, except for when you're like me and coffee makes you feel sleepy.

Luckily, Single Origin doesn't just serve extremely delicious coffee but they serve just about any kind of drink you would want whether it be early morning, lunch time, brunch time, dinner time, or night night time. They have anything from coffee to tea to craft beer to cocktails and craft cocktails. They have everything. It's like a one stop shop for your tummy.

They also have an array of breakfast items, such as, waffles, pancakes, and french toasts that are available from 7 AM to 6 PM in the afternoon. It's very convenient for non early risers like me, well, depending on the day. If you're not in the mood for carbs and are reliant on protein when it comes to semi-early nutrition, they have almost all types of egg dishes ready for you to choose from.

Let's get on to the food review,

WHAT WE ORDERED:

Classic Waffle: They're quite good especially for something as plain as a waffle with just Maple syrup. They're also just the right size and amount to fill one person's tummy and maybe share a little to someone else, if you'd be open to the idea.

White Truffle Pasta: If you've read some of my previous posts, you'd know that I hate the taste of truffles, well, truffle oil to be exact. But this pasta dish might have actually, kind of, don't get too excited, changed my mind. The taste of truffles is still there but it doesn't overwhelm you like most other truffle dishes do. It's also creamy and rich, but not to the point that you'd want to drink water after every bite. (It comes with a poached egg, bacon bits, and 2 thinly-sliced bread.)

Bacon Basket: These are barbecue glazed pork with a side of garlic aioili. They're good for when you and your friends are drinking beer or if you're, boujee, drinking wine and cocktails. They're fried to a crisp but aren't too oily and the garlic aioli is just there if you're really into your sauces, otherwise, you don't really need it.

Cappuccino Lava Cake: There are some things in life that are worth waiting for, this one, I'm not so sure. Don't get me wrong, it's really tasty, but for the amount of time that we waited for the lava "cake" to come out of the kitchen, it would have been better if we ordered some of their other desserts. You know one of those insta-food videos you can do in your own condo or dorm? Those microwavable cupcake/cake recipes in a cup? It was presented like that but with ice cream on top of it. There was more lava than cake and there was more ice cream than lava cake. (They did say that it would take 20 minutes, which was fine. But it took more than that and when it came to the table, I don't know if it was just because I was underwhelmed, but I expected more for the amount of time that we waited.)

THAT'S ALL....... HAVE A HAPPY FOOD TRIP!!!!!!

BYYEEEEEE!!!!!!
