Kai

For a Japanese restaurant, Kai is relatively inexpensive. Although it is a little difficult to find, the food experience that you would be able to have here is worth the hassle of finding the restaurant. (For me, at least.)

Actually, it being hidden away from the main parts of the mall, allows the restaurant to have a warm and cozy feel to the its ambiance.

One problem that we encountered, however, was being seated in a, sort of, private room. Now, it may seem like I'm asking for too much since I did get a private room and my friends and I would be able to have privacy. But, there were other tables in the private room and it didn't really serve its purpose. (Well, maybe it wasn't a private room... I don't know.)

The problem, for me, was not not being alone with my friends, the problem was that it made it difficult for us to order additional food and beverages for the table.

Anyway on to the food we ate...

WHAT WE ORDERED:

Ebi Tempura Maki: The ebi tempura was crispy, the prawn was fresh and sweet, and the bread crumbs, which were rolled with the maki, gave it a contrast in texture and complemented and enhanced the maki's overall taste.

Unagi Kyuri: It was plated simply and was quite delicious.

Ebi Tempura: Like the tempura in the maki, these were also crisp, fresh, and, sweet.

Chicken Karaage: Their karaage was crispy and delicious. Although, I'll say that their karaage had more flour than I'm used to eating, when it comes to chicken karaage.

As far as Japanese restaurants go, especially in Makati, I know I could have went to Little Tokyo instead, but since my friends and I were meeting in the area, we thought it would be easier to dine in at Kai. Plus, all of us have never tried the restaurant yet and so we did.

Sorry, AGAIN, for taking such a long break from writing food reviews.

THAT'S ALL.... HAVE A HAPPY FOOD TRIP!

BYEEE!!!!!!
