It's seldom that we get hipster-esque coffee shops here in the South, even coffee shops that aren't your normal commercial ones, especially if you're a little far away from B.F.'s famous Aguirre Street and you're too lazy to go to Nuvali. That's why when we found this quaint little shop in Molito, Alabang, we were super excited to try their products.
I'm in no way an expert in judging coffee, after all, I'd rather drink a nice cup of hot chocolate or a cup of steaming hot Matcha latte. However, since this shop, was then newly opened, I thought it would be nice to try some of their weirder drinks and then take a sip of my brother's coffee drink just so I would know what to write on this review.
WHAT WE ORDERED:
Each Mocha: Like I said, I'm more of a hot chocolate drinker than a coffee one and, if I do treat myself to a cup of coffee, I always have the one with a little chocolate in it. It's fortunate for me because my brother wanted to try their mocha, as everyone knows that a good mocha drink has that distinct hint of chocolate-y goodness. To me this particular Mocha drink was tasteless, it didn't taste too much of coffee or chocolate, maybe there was too much milk in it?
Egg Nog: During the time that we went there, they were still serving their version of an egg nog which, normally, would be made of rum, eggs, nutmeg, cinnamon, & half & half. Their version was non-alcoholic, which is fine, since taste should matter more than getting drunk, but there was too much nutmeg and, in my opinion, made the drink taste a little bit like dirt. Plus, it wasn't as creamy as I was expecting it to be, it had more of a milky consistency.
(I checked Zomato and their menu didn't have the egg nog anymore, so, maybe, they decided to not make them anymore.)
Price-wise, as expected, it costs, as much as, commercial brands of coffee but, for me, they could've charged more, if only they were more conscious of taste precision.
Anyway, it's good to try new places/restaurants/coffee shops, at least, once, despite my comments above. Maybe it's just me and you would enjoy their products better than I did.
THAT'S ALL....HAVE A HAPPY FOOD TRIP!
BYYYEEEE!!!!
