TWG

For the longest time, TWG has been one of my favorite places to go to when I buy my favorite macarons. However, I've never had the chance to try any of the other dishes found in their menu. Curious as to what the food experience would be like, I decided to try their supposed best dishes. I didn't ask what their best sellers were but someone, who has wanted to try some of, what he or she hears, are some of TWG's best dishes asked me to try them with him or her.

Since I've always enjoyed their macarons, I automatically thought that I would also like their other dishes and since I know that they're one of a few known restaurants, which are privately owned and have high standards, I was confident that I would enjoy this particular food experience. Obviously, all of these words are an introduction to my honest disappointment.

WHAT WE ORDERED:

Rosmarino Sandwich: It's basically a crispy chicken sandwich inside a bun made from or with corn flakes. I, honestly, thought that if it were freshly made then it wouldn't have been so bad. The bun, though interesting in theory, was actually super dry but, giving TWG some credit, the chicken, by itself, was quite tasty and the best part of the meal.

Lasagna: My friend, who I was with at the time, actually liked it but I, however, felt that the Truffle Oil, drizzled on top of the lasagna, over-powered the whole dish and, disappointingly, ruined the whole experience for me. As a lover of all things lasagna, I hated it and finally understood Gordon Ramsey's sentiment toward Truffle Oil.

I don't mean to hate on TWG and, as I've stated above, am a big fan of their macarons. However, I do feel that, if I were to judge their menu based on the two dishes I've tried, then I wouldn't want to try their other dishes anymore. Not only was it expensive, though I don't mind spending a little extra for good food, but I'm sure that there are a lot more restaurants, which are a lot cheaper price-wise, and also have better dishes to offer.

That's all..... Have a happy food trip! :)
