Morganfield's

Morganfield's is one of the restaurants that's found in the new Uptown Place Mall in BGC (Bonifacio Global City). The restaurant itself is quite difficult to locate because it's outside and it's at the very end corner of the 2nd floor of uptown. However difficult it is to find, it certainly is worth-it and quite the treat to your stomach.
Fortunately, for me and the people who were with me, Morganfield's had a special promotional offer, which they called the Presidential Platter, if you're like us and you, honestly, don't know what to try because you, obviously, would like to taste everything they have to offer then this promo is definitely worth a try.
For only 2,995 Pesos, the Presidential Platter, which claims to be only for 3-4 people, includes a Half Slab of Hickory BBQ Spare Ribs, a Half Slab of Garlicky BBQ Spare Ribs, a Chili Cheese Footlong Dog, a Pork Schnitzel, which is just breaded pork with a fancy name, 4 juicy Beer Battered Prawns, Chili Cheese Nachos, a Caesar Salad, Corn Breads, and Crispy French Fries, plus a carafe of a Tropical Fruit Tea. I say that it claims to be for 3-4 people because there were 5 of us and we still weren't able to finish the platter. We're hearty eaters and leaving food on the table doesn't happen.
Let's break this down and review each dish in the platter:
Both of the Hickory BBQ Spare Ribs were amazing, the only frustrating part about it is that it's too tender that you'd have a difficult time transferring it from the platter to your plate, first-world problems anyone? And I'm, obviously, not exaggerating because no one pays me to do reviews. (SAD!) Moving on from that unfortunate fact, the Chili Cheese Footlong Dog, a Schublig sausage, which is a traditional smoked Swiss sausage made primarily with beef & pork, if you didn't know, in which case, you're welcome, was quite tasty. The Pork Schnitzel, in my honest opinion, shouldn't even be there, especially because the platter already has two slabs of meat! The Caesar Salad, which I didn't eat, not because it wasn't delicious, which I'm sure it was, but because I don't generally eat salads unless the dressing is acid-oil based. (Mayonnaise sucks!) The Corn Breads & Fries were crispy and on-point because they're comfort food and they're there to give you and your stomach comfort. To me there wasn't anything special about the Tropical Fruit Tea because it was made with a juice concentrate, although it does have real fruits in it for garnish and decorative purposes and, I guess, it does help you not kill yourself with all the food that's in the Presidential Platter.
This was truly a happy food trip for me and my belly!
Hope you have one too! :)
P.S.
Bring a friend or 5 because you can't handle this alone! :)
